The number of Azerbaijani sportsmen, who will take part in the XV Summer European Youth Olympic Festival that will be held in Baku, revealed, APA reports.
The list of participants was stated by Hasanaga Rzayev, the Director of Sports department of NOC Azerbaijan, in meeting with sportsmen and their trainers, included in the Azerbaijani delegation take part in Baku-2019.
Our national team will be represented with 122 athletes in 10 sport branches. The delegation of our country will involve 198 people.
Chef-de-mission for our national team said, in total, 3900 guests from 48 countries will attend the competition.
Note, the Summer European Youth Olympic Festival will be held in Baku on July 21-27. Athletes will compete in 10 kinds of sport - gymnastics, athletics, basketball, cycling, handball, judo, swimming, tennis, volleyball and wrestling. Over 2,500 volunteers will operate at 12 sports facilities throughout the festival.
