267 of about 700 dialysis patients, infected with coronavirus, died in Azerbaijan

"Both the ability of the immune system and the processes in the body reduce the resistance of patients with chronic kidney disease. Therefore, the spread of COVID virus and certain complications are more common in these patients”, the head nephrologist of the Ministry of Health, the head of the department of the Republican Urological Hospital named, Clinical Urological Hospital named after academician Fariz Babayev told in an interview with APA.

He noted that statistical checks have been conducted among these patients since 2020: “About 700 patients on dialysis were infected with coronavirus and lives of 267 of them can not be saved.
