6 mine detection dogs to be brought to Azerbaijan from US in November

“Inspection of the area with dogs makes up the vast majority of the mine clearance works”, said Head of Board of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vugar Suleymanov, APA reports.

ANAMA chair said that today new agreement will be signed for the continuation of cooperation

ANAMA and Marshall Legacy Institute of the US: “On August 23, another 10 dogs have been presented to us by the MLI. Totally, in accordance with the agreement, up to 2023, 30 dogs will be given to ANAMA.10 dogs are already in the base of the agency. They are in the process of adapting to the climate. After the exercises, dogs will be involved in the operations. Another 6 dogs will be brought to Azerbaijan in November. One part of the other 14 dogs will be brought to Azerbaijan in June of the next year, and the last dogs in 2023. 18 of 30 mine detection dogs will be funded by the US Marshall Legacy Institute at the expense of donors”.
