Application of AstraZeneza vaccine being launched in Azerbaijan from May 3

Vaccination process over the country continues in a phased manner in accordance with the “COVID-19 Vaccination Strategy for 2021-2022" in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Health told APA.

From May 3, initially, people over 60 ages and over will be able to use “Vaxzevria” vaccine (Manufacturing company “AstraZeneca“) produced by the University of Oxford, England during vaccination against “COVID-19”.

Use of Vaxzevria vaccine will be applied in Baku city and 6 regions – Lankaran, Shaki, Ganja, Mingachevir, Absheron, and Sumgayit. Special rooms will be allocated in medical institutions for application of the vaccine.
84,000 doses of the Vaxzevria vaccine, brought to our country within the framework of COVAX platform, increase choice opportunities among people and provide access of citizens to different vaccines.
