Azerbaijan extends border closure term until August 1

Restrictions on entry and exit at the state border of the Republic of Azerbaijan are extended until August 1, 2020, said Leyla Abdullayeva, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, at a briefing organized by the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers today, APA reports.

“Although special quarantine regime continues, measures aimed at the evacuation of Azerbaijanis to the homeland on the basis of the mutual agreement are underway. Even on June 17-18, our citizens have been evacuated from Turkey with special routes. Citizens, who will be evacuated, have been required to test for coronavirus 48 hours ago and this experience is considered to be continued until August 1 on the basis of mutual agreement with states.”

Note that Azerbaijan extended the quarantine regime until August 1.
