During five months of this year about 1200 people deprived of driving license - OFFICIAL

The number of people sentenced to the sanction of deprivation of the right to drive a transport facility during 5 months of this year has been disclosed, the Ministry of Justice stated in response to APA’s inquiry.

The number of people sentenced to the sanction of deprivation of the right to drive a transport facility during 5 months of this year is about 1200.

Note that according to Order of President Ilham Aliyev about humanization of penal policy dated February 10, 2017, the Probation Service has been established in the Ministry of Justice in order to efficiently apply the types of punishment alternative to restraint of liberty, and the use of electronic control facilities (electronic bracelets) has been prescribed.
