“We have lived in quarantine condition for as much as 2 months”, said today Eldar Azizov, head of Baku City Executive Power at the press conference organized by the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.
A. Azizov said this situation mounts new challenges in front of the Executive power agencies in Baku: “The structures of Baku City Executive Power appeared to be ready for these challenges. The reason for this is the emergence of the Azerbaijani state model having strong economy under leadership of President Ilham Aliyev”.
The head of Baku City Executive Power noted that the construction of new module-type hospitals has been started in Azerbaijan, the needs in food have been satisfied: “The World Health Organization has also highly appreciated the completed works. I would like to note for comparison that the number of coronavirus cases in Azerbaijan with population of 10 million has reached 3 thousand, while the number of coronavirus cases in Armenia with population of 2.9 million has reached 4 thousand”.
E. Azizov brought to the notice that the disinfection works in Azerbaijan were started as early as when this disease hadn’t yet been detected in the country: “There are 11 thousand 700 buildings on the balance of Baku City Executive Power, and the disinfection works are conducted in these buildings at least once per 2 weeks. The strets and avenues are being washed with special substances”.
