From June 18, the resumption of domestic flights to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has been envisaged on the country’s territory. In order to prevent the cases of infection with coronavirus on the country’s territory, the passengers using the domestic flights performed by the Azerbaijan Airlines Closed Joint Stock Company are required to pass through COVID-19 test, the State Agency for Mandatory Medical Insurance told APA.

In support to this initiative, the Agency has commissioned a new electronic service entitiled as “Online queue for passengers (COVID-19)”. By means of this electronic service, the air ticket owners will be able to determine in online mode the time of medical examination for COVID-19 test.

Thus, the citizens entering the sub-section entitled as “Online queue for passengers (COVID-19)” created in the “E-services” section on the Agency’s official internet page (www.its.gov.az) should insert air ticket number in the opening window and choose the “Check the ticket” button. After confirmation of the ticket, the citizen should choose “Receive rendezvous” space where the date and the hour suitable for him are written in order to determine the time of medical examination. As a result of this, a notification will appear on the screen where the title and the address of the health institution, as well as the date and hour of the medical examination will be indicated.

Using the same procedure, the citizen may also change the time of medical examination. In such case, firstly the received date of rendezvous will be erased. The citizens should take into consideration that they may choose the time of rendezvous only within the interval the will be presented in accordance with the flight date on the mandatory medical insurance platform. Thus, the granting of rendezvous 48 hours prior to the flight date will not be possible (if the strict quarantine regime days are applied, the times of the rendezvous falling within those days may be changed). It is required to pass through COVID-19 medical examination 48 hours prior to the flight at the latest or 96 hours prior to the flight at the earliest.

The citizen referring to health institution should without fail present his identity card and air ticket to the registration desk officer. The COVID-19 test required from passengers is free-of-charge.
