The number of people who died after having contracted COVID-19 surpassed 3 million, data compiled by the health authorities worldwide showed on Friday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
According to the data, there were more than 139 million coronavirus infections since the pandemic started, most of which were recorded in the United States, India, and Brazil.
The number of recoveries climbed to 118 million. More than 20 COVID-19 vaccines have so far entered the third phase trial, with 13 of them already authorized in some capacity.
