The staff of REACT-C19 have assessed the current situation in selected hospitals and supported them to fill the gaps, Hande Harmanci, head of Representation of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Azerbaijan said at the press conference dedicated to the initial results of the REACT-C19 project, APA reports.
According to her, the staff has completed works in 4 hospitals of Baku, then visited hospitals in Ganja, Aghdash, Goranbou, and Shamkir, and prepared an action plan and given recommendations within two weeks: “These measures aim at minimizing the spread of the virus among medical workers, families. More than 400 medical employees have participated in training during the period. They have shared their experience on the treatment of patients with severe conditions with local doctors. Recommendation and consultations are expected to be continued online from now on. We have a long way to go in battle against coronavirus pandemic. We will continue to support the fight from now too.”
