The absolute majority of prisoners infected with COVİD-19 have recovered and are out of quarantine, said Fikrat Mammadov Minister of Justice at an operational meeting held in video conference format with the participation of the leadership of the Penitentiary and Medical Services, heads of penitentiaries, as well as other relevant officials of the Ministry, APA reports.
The minister noted that currently all necessary prophylactic measures are being continued and the situation is under full control.
F. Mammadov noted the activity of special monitoring group established by the ministry, which includes the representatives of civil society.
Noting the exceptional importance of the Presidential order dated February 10, 2017, on Improving the penitentiary system, humanization of punishment policy, the minister has touched upon the works done in this sphere.
