Social aid in the amount of up to AZN 3 thousand to be given to disadvantaged Azerbaijanis living abroad

The Cabinet of Ministers has made decision about approval of procedure of rendering social aid to the disadvantaged Azerbaijanis living abroad, APA reports.

The decision will come into force from January 1, 2021.
In the following cases, the disadvantaged Azerbaijanis living abroad will have the right to receive social aid from the Republic of Azerbaijan:
- if they have under their guardianship (patronage) the persons of the Azerbaijani origin under the age of 18 whose both parents died;
- if they sustain damage during emergency situations, war and military operations don’t receive necessary aid from insurance and other means associated with repayment of the caused damage in the country of their residence;
- if necessity emerges for bringing to the Republic of Azerbaijan of the corpse of their died close relative.
The upper limit of the social aid has been determined at AZN 3000 (three thousand). The control over distribution of social aid is implemented by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
