On July 15, at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to results of social and economic development of the first half of 2020 and the outstanding tasks, thousands of youths responding to the appeal of President of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev saying “If anybody, any patriotic person wished to serve in the army, I only welcome this” have come to local departments, divisions and sections of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription where they are registered and have expressed their wishes to serve in the army voluntarily and are being registered according to relevant procedure. The State Service for Mobilization and Conscription expresses its gratitude to our citizens for their high patriotism, APA reports.
This has been stated in the information issued by the State Service: "We remind once again that at present, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces are staffed in accordance with the requirements of the legislation. Protection of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan is provided by the Azerbaijani Army.
Therefore, the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription states that if necessary, reservists may be summoned to local structural units of the Service in accordance with the requirements of existing legislation and involved in appropriate measures to ensure the country's defense and state security".
