TABIB: Growth of number of respiratory infections in connection with autumn-winter season was expectable

"The wave term is frequently used in media in connection with infections”, said today head of department for prophylaxis and control of diseases of the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB) Yagut Garayeva at the press conference organized by Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.

The head of department noted that the attempts are made not to use wave term in epidemiological context: "You know that we spent September relatively comfortable. The number of our infections was about 100. We can already say the number of infections has increased. In general, the growth in number of infections with respiratory virus diseases is always observed in connection with advent of autumn-winter season, cooling of weather conditions. In fact this was the expected and forecasted growth”.
