“It is the epidemiological situation that forces us to strict quarantine regime,” said today Ramin Bayramli, chairman of Board of Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB), at the press conference of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, APA reports.

R. Bayramli said that infection with coronavirus increases in the world: “ The situation in Azerbaijan is also not gladsome. We have A, B, and C options. When it comes to the results of the restrictions applied during the last two weeks, these steps have also been taken in accordance with the experience of foreign countries. This gave us the opportunity to gain time for the implementation of long term restrictions.”

Chairman of Board of Administration of TABIB noted that the restrictions are similar to those imposed in April: “Health facilities were not fully ready to fight the disease in April. It is true that there was a sufficient number of beds. R.Bayramli brought into notice that he had the opportunity to visit hospitals yesterday: “The oxygen systems and generators of the hospitals were not designed for so many patients. Some hospitals used oxygen cylinders instead of generators. In this regard, generators were purchased. Modular hospitals established, nearly 7,000 beds have been prepared, but today there are about 5,000 patients, and the virus is spreading rapidly. The gap between new infections and those recovering is widening, and a heavy burden falls on medical facilities."
