TABIB: Plasma treatment of coronavirus-infected patients started in Azerbaijan

On May 8, a meeting of the “Medical-Scientific Committee for study of preventive measures and innovations on COVID-19 infection” under the Administration of the Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB) has been held, TABIB told APA.

Head of Board of TABIB Ramin Bayramli stressed that many significant measures have been taken under direct control of country leadership within the framework of the fight against the pandemics in Azerbaijan at the meeting. It has been noted the application of “Immune Plasma Treatment” has already been started for treatment of coronavirus infected patients, whose condition are severe, in the country.

Various discussions have been held on scientific innovations regarding prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of the coronavirus (COVID-19) infection and medical-scientific measures, carried out in Azerbaijan regarding their application at the meeting.

Note that the Committee was established under the relevant order of the Chair of Board of TABIB in order to study of preventive measures and innovations regarding the COVID-19 infection.
