TikTok allowed on Friday for the Australian government officials to analyze its algorithm and test its source code, APA reports citing Teletrader.

Global Chief Security Officer Roland Cloutier officially confirmed to the Canberra’s Select Committee on Foreign Interference through Social Media, that computer instructions on the content will be "available in a public setting for regulators, governments, commercial entities to come in and to test our code."

Cloutier also denied that TikTok’s source code was similar to the one that is used for ByteDance’s Chinese version Douyin. TikTok’s Australia General Manager Lee Hunter commented the "deal is ongoing."
