"Azykh cave is a monument worthy of inclusion in the UNESCO list of cultural heritage due to its scientific nature", Farhad Guliyev, head of the department of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS attending the presentation of an international conference to be dedicated to "Stone hills' Neolithic Period in 2023 told Azerbaijani journalists, the APA's correspondent to Shanliurfali reports.

According to him, the world community has enough information about the uniqueness of this monument: "Participation of Azerbaijani archaeologists, including Soviet archaeologists, in this research in 1970-1980 proves this. Our main idea is that in the future research in Azykh should be conducted in the format of international research. There are proposals already from several countries. The University of Tokyo in Japan is especially interested in this monument. We are ready to cooperate with all researchers who respect the laws of Azerbaijan and recognize our territorial integrity. Because the uniqueness of that monument is important not only for Azerbaijan but for the whole world".
