Childen make up 26.2% of Azerbaijan's population

"26.2% of population has been made up by children in Azerbaijan now," Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Bahar Muradova said while her speech in the V All-Republican Children's Forum, APA reports.

B. Muradova noted that a draft of the Child Code has been developed: "The project is currently at the stage of the agreement with relevant bodies. There are problems in the country in this field and these problems concern all. Marriage cases among relatives still exist. Another problem is domestic violence against children. Monitoring groups on gender violence and violence against children are acting in local executive authorities. Such children are helped by them."
