Discussion conducted in Turkish Higher Education Council regarding tuition fees of Azerbaijani students

Education Advisor of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkey Najiba Nasibova has met with the Higher Education Council's (YOK) Executive Board Member Prof. Dr. Zeliha Tufan Kochak and Chairman of the Council of Higher Education, Professor Rahmi Er, APA's local bureau reports.

It vas noted in the information of the Azerbaijan Education Council in Turkey.

During the meeting, the complaints received by the Embassy regarding the increase in annual tuition fees at Turkish universities and applying of an increase also to students continuing their education were brought to the attention of YOK officials.

While this issue is being discussed with the university administrations by our council, they said that they have done this because of the "Presidential Decree" (the President's annual decree on education), which determines tuition fees for 2021-2022 academic year. This issue has been brought to the attention of the YOK officials", noted in the information.
