Foreign nationals wishing to fly to Azerbaijan will be required COVID-19 passport

The requirement for passengers departing from the Republic of Azerbaijan to undergo PCR testing for COVID-19 will be regulated by the carrier in accordance with the rules established at the point of destination, this is reflected in the amendments made by the Cabinet of Ministers to the "Temporary Rules for the organization of flights and air transport in the Republic of Azerbaijan during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic", APA reports.

According to the amendment, all airlines operating flights to the Republic of Azerbaijan will accept passengers on the following conditions:

- in relation to foreigners and stateless persons:

- Passengers over 18 years of age - only COVID-19 passport (a document confirming full vaccination against COVID-19 or immunity to COVID19) and PCR on COVID-19 issued within 72 hours before the flight on the basis of a document confirming the negative result of the test;

-Passengers between the ages of 1-18 - on the basis of a document confirming the negative result of the PCR test for COVID-19, issued only within 72 hours before the flight;

- In the case of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan - on the basis of a document confirming the negative result of the PCR test for COVID-19 issued within 72 hours before the flight.

Along with the certificate, in order to check the COVID-19 passport electronically, the persons with electronic confirmation attributes (QR-code, identification number, etc.) in the certificate will be provided with a quick passage from the relevant checkpoints.
