Human Rights and Equality Institution of Turkey to implement fact-finding mission in liberated territories

Delegation of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Turkey ((TIHEK) has come to Azerbaijan on the invitation of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ms. Sabina Aliyeva, Ombudsman Office told APA.

According to the information, the purpose of the meeting covering June 28- July 2 is to implement a fact-finding mission in the liberated territories from the occupation of Azerbaijan.

The delegation includes leaders of the Turkish Human Rights and Equality Institution, as well as researchers from well-known Turkish universities with experience in international humanitarian law and war crimes.

On June 29, ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva and a group of employees visited Alley of Honor, Alley of Martyrs, and Baku Turkish Martyrdom together with the delegation of Turkish Human Rights and Equality Institution.

Firstly, they visited the grave of National leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor, respect was expressed to his memory. Then delegation visiting the Alley of Martyrs and Baku Turkish Martyrdom and expressed respect to the memory of martyrs who died for freedom and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
