Pfizer Inc. said on Monday that the results of its 2/3 phase of the COVID-19 vaccine trial showed that the jab is safe and effective to use in kids aged between five and 11 years, APA reports citing Teletrader.
However, the data hasn't been yet peer-reviewed or published, with the application yet to be submitted to the United States Food and Drug Administration.
A two-dose vaccine given within 21 days apart provided an equal dose of protection in kids compared to younger adults, Pfizer added, noting that no cases of myocarditis were registered among over 2,200 research participants.
