Last year, WHO has announced a coronavirus pandemic and this continues, said Yagut Garayeva, head of the Disease Prevention and Control Department of TABİB at today’s briefing of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.
Y. Garayeva noted that the number of people who died of this disease is more than 3 million: “Increase in the number of coronavirus cases in India recent days also concerns us. We watch this with deep concern. In India, records of infection and death are broken every day. It has been officially announced that a new mutation of the disease has been recorded in India. Mutations are a process specific to viruses. There are no studies in India on whether mutations and strains can aggravate the disease. Tests are conducted in Azerbaijan to investigate this. But this has not happened yet. If there is new information, we will make a statement”, she said.
