Testimony of foreign citizen involved in illegal armed groups in Karabakh, to preliminary investigation announced-UPDATED-1

The trial on the criminal case against Eduard Sergeyevich Dubakov, a Russian citizen involved in illegal armed groups in Karabakh by Armenia, is underway, APA reports.

Arif Osmanov has been questioned as a witness at trial on the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, chaired by Judge Samir Aliyev.

He said that while walking near Military Trophies Park, he witnessed the accused person was detained: "They invited us. A review was conducted on him and his bag. There are writings in the Armenian and Russian languages and a telephone in his bag."

A phase of investigation of documents has been conducted during the trial.

The document reads that Dubakov visited Armenia from Russia, from there to occupied Azerbaijani territories.

As a member of the Voma organization in Armenia, he took part in military exercises in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and got acquainted with the head of the organization Vladimir Vartanov. He joined the exercises in 2019. The head of the organization was Vladimir Vartanov, the head of the first intelligence group involved in the war by the Armenian side in Karabakh.

According to the reference of the Russian Federal Service, Eduard Dubakov visited Armenia from Russia several times in 2018-2019.
A search conducted on his phone revealed correspondence with a user named "artsaxski".

Besides that, It was found out on telephone correspondence that Dubakov had telephone calls with Artyom, Samir Mirzoyan, Zararyan, and others.

Eduard Dubakov's testimony to the investigation has been announced.

Dubakov said in this testimony to the investigation that in September-October 2018, he watched a video of the Voma organization on social media.
