The "Shusha, you are free!" documentary, co-produced by Baku Media Center and "Salnamefilm" studio with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was presented to a wide audience on the eve of Victory Day at the Heydar Aliyev Palace, APA reports.
Speaking at the presentation, Minister of Culture Anar Karimov said that many events are being held on the eve of Victory Day:
"The peculiarity of today's event is that we wanted to engrave the position of our soldiers and officers in a historical documentary. The best means of influencing people's minds is cinema. I am very happy that we were able to present both projects before Victory Day. Both films have several messages. One of them is that truth and justice always win. The second important message is that we are a great nation. We have shown that the Azerbaijani people still have such heroes as Mubariz Ibrahimov, Allahverdi Bagirov, Albert Agarunov, Polad Hashimov, such a strong Supreme Commander-in-Chief. We will have many such projects. Although we have won, the information war is still going on. "
The film's director Javidan Sharifov said that a group was set up by the Baku Media Center at the beginning of the war. The last place we went was Shusha, the first thing we saw was the Azerbaijani Special Forces, it was a great sense of pride. When we returned, the head of the Baku Media Center, Arzu Aliyeva, and Orman Aliyev looked at the footage and said that it was necessary to make a film. "
The film's producer Orman Aliyev said that audio-visual films, especially documentaries, are very important in today's information age.
It should be noted that the highlights of "Operation Shusha", one of the brightest pages in modern military history, were presented to the audience for the first time in this film. The film includes interviews with our brave soldiers and officers who carried out the Shusha operation, the battle path of our heroic "Special Forces" who liberated Shusha from occupation, and exclusive footage taken during the operation.
The director of the film is Javidan Sharifov, the producers are Nazim Huseynov and Orman Aliyev.
Another documentary, "We" is about the war and tells the story of ordinary people who became a phenomenon during the war, where photos and videos were distributed and discussed. They and the witnesses of that moment - soldiers, doctors, retirees, bloggers, journalists - tell about the fateful events of the war and share their feelings with the audience.
The film was produced by the Baku Media Center and Azerbaijanfilm film studio with the support of the Ministry of Culture. The author and director of the documentary "We" is Orman Aliyev, and the producer is Fariz Ahmadov.
