The Turkish Ministry of National Defense has donated 10 specially trained minesweepers to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Azerbaijan, the press service of MES told APA.
In order to bring dogs to our country, as well as to increase their knowledge and skills in the relevant field, a group of 10 dog trainers of the Ministry's Special Risk Rescue Service is currently participating in training courses in the sister country.
Thus, the training courses, which began on March 8, 2021, are organized by the Baku Armed Forces Attaché of the General Staff of the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey in Bursa. During the courses, employees are trained in mine detection and demining with dogs donated to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan.
The cynologists will soon complete the training course and return to our country with the dogs to be involved in demining operations in the liberated territories.
