"Increase of potential of those, working with people subjected to violence, is essential," said US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lee Litzenberger at the 1st National Conference of First Aid Parties on Gender-based violence, APA reports.
Ambassador noted that those who have been involved in the issue, should know how to treat the victims: "Responsibility and enthusiasm in this work play a great role in the fight against violence. Violence is an insult to human dignity. It prevents economic, local political development. As President Biden said, it is useless to speak about human rights without provision of rights of each woman in the world. We consider works done by Azerbaijan in this field is commendable."
