Today, on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, the 3rd group of fire and rescue forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is leaving for the Republic of Turkey to extinguish forest fires, said Javid Gahramanov, flight engineer instructor of the BE-200CS amphibious aircraft, before the trip, APA reports.

J. Gahramanov said they returned to Azerbaijan for a day due to the technical inspection of the plane. They will continue their activities in the mountainous and forested areas where fires broke out in Turkey. “As you know, we have been participating in extinguishing forest fires in Turkey for several days. Today we will continue our activities in this direction."

The flight engineer instructor added that they will work in the brotherly country until the fire is extinguished: “Currently, we are involved in extinguishing fires in the Dalaman region. Depending on the direction of the fire, it is possible to change the location. We are ready for any situation in extinguishing the fire in Turkey."

Note that the fire and rescue team includes 40 pieces of firefighting equipment, 1 amphibious aircraft BE-200CS and 150 firefighters themselves.
