The Brazzaville Foundation, an international organization dedicated to fostering peace and promoting sustainable development, is delighted to announce the successful completion of a series of visits to Moscow, Kiev, and six African countries between 22 May and 5 June 2023, APA reports citing "Brazzaville Foundation" non-profit organization.
During these visits, the Foundation held crucial meetings with esteemed dignitaries of Russia and Ukraine, H.E. Sameh Shoukry, Foreign Minister of Egypt; H.E. Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal; H.E. Denis Sassou Nguesso, President of the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville); H.E. Yoweri Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda; H.E. Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia; and H.E. Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa.
The primary objective of these discussions was to garner support and consensus from the Heads of State for an important initiative aptly titled "The Road to Peace."
The Brazzaville Foundation has obtained the approval and participation of these esteemed leaders in the initiative which will culminate in a common visit by the participating African Heads of State to Ukraine and Russia before the end of June 2023.
With the confirmed participation of the Heads of State of Egypt, Senegal, Uganda, Zambia, South Africa, and The Comoros (President of the African Union), the Brazzaville Foundation fulfills its role of initiating and coordinating this process.
On 5 June 2023, a virtual conference took place between the participating Heads of State and the Brazzaville Foundation. During this conference, it has been agreed that the coordination of the Heads of State visit, including logistical arrangements and diplomatic communication, will be managed by the respective countries' diplomatic channels. The Foundation is immensely honored to have been entrusted by all the African Heads of State to continue in its role in support of this initiative.
