"As an organization, projects are prepared for the development of relations between nations. It can also lead to a fusion of cultures. It is the duty of all humanity to protect Shusha's cultural heritage," said UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Hedva Ser at the program on "Reconstruction, Reconciliation and Integration: Energy, Economy, Environment and Equity" held under the organization of Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC) in Shusha, APA reports.
One of the tasks of UNESCO is to support cultural diplomacy in the world, relations between nations, and the realization of solutions to problems through dialogue. Changes in the world should not affect relations between nations. One of the main goals of the organization is to protect and restore the cultural heritage. Shusha is the cultural capital and historical city of Azerbaijan. Cultural heritage monuments in the region were damaged on a large scale during the Karabakh war. Some monuments have been completely destroyed."
