Mali's government announced on Sunday that it is expelling the human rights head of the United Nations mission to the country Guillaume Ngefa-Atondoko Andali, APA reports citing Teletrader.

He has been declared persona non grata and is given 48 hours to leave the country, a government spokesman said.

Mali's military junta argued the decision was reached after Andali's "destabilizing and subversive actions," including his alleged biased choice of witnesses to the UN Security Council, referring to Aminata Cheick Dicko's criticism of the government at the latest Council meeting in January.
