NYC subway shooting leaves at least 13 injured-UPDATED

At least 13 people have been injured in Brooklyn, New York on Tuesday after a shooting at the 36th Street subway station, the New York City Fire Department stated, APA reports citing Teletrader.

Reports from the area indicated at least five people were shot in several incidents, as well as that authorities found undetonated explosive devices in the area.

The NYC Police Department stated there are no active explosive devices at the scene but warned the public to avoid the area of 36th Street and 4th Avenue area in Brooklyn due to an ongoing investigation.

Police in New York are investigating a shooting with multiple reported injuries at a Brooklyn subway station, APA reports citing BBC.

According to local media, shots were fired at the 36th Street station in Sunset Park around 0830 local time (1330 GMT) on Tuesday morning.

Officials have warned residents to avoid the area and expect delays. At least four train lines are also said to be delayed in both directions.

The number of casualties from the incident is not yet known.
