Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Ambassador Extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev, says Ministry of Defense of Georgia, APA’s local bureau reports.
It is noted that during a meeting for the purpose of acquaintance, Irakli Garibashvili has congratulated the Azerbaijani ambassador on the occasion of the appointment of an ambassador and wished him success.
The friendship and strategic relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia have been discussed in the meeting. The parties have also discussed the positive dynamics of the cooperation between ministries of defense of both countries. The signing of an agreement in the field of defense and the importance of relations in the military education field have been also discussed in the meeting. At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Defense noted that he hopes to host his Azerbaijani counterpart in Tbilisi.
