Names of documents signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan in Ankara unveiled

Cabinet of Ministers has revealed names of the documents signed within the framework of the 9th meeting of the Azerbaijani-Turkish Intergovernmental Cooperation Commission in Ankara, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan told APA.

According to the information, on February 19, the 9th meeting of the Turkish-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Cooperation Commission was held in Ankara.

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov and Vice President of the Republic of Turkey Fuat Oktay, members of governments of Turkey and Azerbaijan have attended the meeting. A situation of implementation of adopted decisions in the 8th meeting has been positively evaluated in the meeting.

It is noted that main goal is to implement the task instructed by the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey to increase trade turnover up to 15 billion dollars in 2023.

Ways of acceleration of economic and trade relations in the future have been discussed.

Following documents on economic cooperation have been signed at the end of the meeting:

- Protocol on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of the Republic of Turkey in the field of vocational education;

- Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of Halal accreditation;

- Cooperation Protocol between Turkish Accreditation Agency (TURKAK) and Azerbaijan Accreditation Center;

- Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the direction of research and development activities in the fields of transportation and scientific technologies.

The protocol of the 9th meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey and the activity plan on Turkish-Azerbaijani economic cooperation have been signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov and Vice President Fuat Oktay.

After signing, Prime Minister Ali Asadov and Vice President Fuat Oktay have issued a press release.
