Shahdeniz 2 to produce additional 16 bcm of gas â€“ president

“I’d like to note that Shahdeniz contract was signed 21 years ago during the Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition. We are marking this day after 21 years. I was informed that 90% of workers constructing this equipment were Azerbaijani citizens. During these years, great personnel potential has emerged and this will cause our energy and economic potential to strengthen. Because, only Shahdeniz 2 will produce additional 16 billion cubic meters of gas and sufficient condensate. Contracts on these resources have already been signed. They will be sent to world market via the Southern Gas Corridor. Implementation of these projects is a historical event. When we look at these, we see that a great potential has emerged in Azerbaijan”.
