SOCAR comments on reports regarding confiscation of Palmaliâ€™s ships

SOCAR has not confiscated ships of Mubariz Mansimov or Palmali Group of Companies and has not taken any similar action against him, PR official at SOCAR Ibrahim Ahmadov said.

As for prohibiting Palmali’s ships from entering the ports, Ahmadov said that this is related to relevant bodies: ‘SOCAR has not any information about this’.

Yesterday, several Turkish media outlets reported that SOCAR prohibited Palmali’s ships from entering its plants and enterprises. According to reports, SOCAR confiscated Palmali’s 14 ships over company’s debt. The reports also say SOCAR transferred these ships to its balance and created a new shipping company.
