Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stressed on Friday that there would be no military mobilization in Belarus. He claimed the rumor was propagated by his opposition following the announcement of a partial mobilization in Russia, APA reports citing BelTA news.

According to state media outlet Belta, Lukashenko insisted that Belarus will "fight only when we have to defend our home, our land." However, he stated the country's military and the people's militia are kept in a state of readiness with regular exercises in case they have to respond to "possible threats and attempts to commit acts of terrorism."
