Matviyenko: "We hope that the situation in Karabakh will end with a peace agreement"

"Russia hopes the current situation around Karabakh will end with a peace agreement with Armenia and Azerbaijan," said Chair of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matviyenko said at a meeting of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Council in Almaty., APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

"We hope and sincerely desire that his situation will end with a peace agreement, we sincerely hope so," said Matviyenko, commenting on the statements of the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova and the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan on a possible peace agreement.
