Agency prepares reports on stealing of Eldar Mansurov

The agency has prepared and disseminated a report based on historical sources and evidentiary documents in connection with the articles published in the Armenian press regarding Armenians preparing an appeal to UNESCO for including baklava/ baklava, one of the types of sweets of ancient Turkish culinary culture, in the list of intangible cultural heritage, as a sample of intangible cultural heritage, APA reports citing the report of Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Moreover, the agency prepared reports on the stealing of prominent Azerbaijani composer Jahangir Jahangirov’s musical work “Zerif Gulushlum” by Armenians and sharing it on Youtube as an Armenian song, as well as the fact of appropriation of Azerbaijani People’s Artist, composer Eldar Mansurov’s works “Bayatilar”, “O gelende”, “Bir payiz gecesi”, “Yari sende, yari mende” and “Geceler kechir” by various Armenian performers and sharing them on Youtube and other internet networks.

The next Armenian forgery was the dissemination of information about making a gift of musical instruments belonging to Azerbaijani people- Balaban, fife, kamancha, and canon to the Geneva Ethnography museum as an Armenian national musical instrument. In this regard, the Intellectual Property Agency, based on ancient historical and literary examples, and research of well-known experts, prepared wide reports about those musical instruments are ancient in Azerbaijani folk music due to the fact that there are instruments of Turkish origin that have been widely used since ancient times and have maintained their popularity to this day, and presented them to media.
