A truck with food supplies from Russia for Armenians living in Azerbaijan’s Khankendi is in Barda - Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society and the Russian Red Cross Society in 2012. According to the joint cooperation memorandum of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society and the Russian Red Cross Society at the initiative of the Russian government, in order to meet the food needs of the Armenian residents living in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan by Russia, the Russian Red Cross Society sent a total of 1 truck load of food with food and non-food products, Rovshan Aliyev, vice president of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society told APA.

Rovshan Aliyev said that yesterday afternoon, the truck, accompanied by two cars of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society, passed through the Samukh border crossing point: "The truck entered the city of Barda around at 03:00 am. Currently, employees of the Russian Red Cross Society are resting in the Barda hotel because they arrived in difficult road conditions. The cargo is intended to be delivered to Armenian residents living in the region via the Aghdam-Khankendi road."
