“Territories within Karabakh administrative zone, including Khankendi, was gasified in the 80s of the previous century by Azerbaijan, infrastructure was established,” Teymur Jafarov, Chief of New Gasification and Development Department of Azerigas Production Association, within the framework "Open Door" campaign told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, during the occupation period, a large part of these communications was destroyed, ruined by Armenians.
T. Safarov said that Azerigas carried out some repair work on the gas pipeline to Khankendi: “Those areas are Azerbaijan’s sovereign territories and which works are done there may be carried out by Azerbaijan. Currently, Khankandi city is provided with natural gas. In the next stages, it is envisaged that the gas infrastructure in all those areas must meet modern requirements in a more ideal form by the Azerbaijani state and be completely rebuilt. As well as reconstruction of gas supply system is also planned. Azerbaijani citizens may normally benefit from infrastructure to be established in those areas.”
