Over 410 bcm of gas was produced from ACG and "Shah Deniz" so far

Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) and Shah Deniz fields, located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, have produced 412,3 bln. cubic meter of gas since its commissioning to July 1, 2023, Ministry of Energy told APA-Economics.

During the said period, 212 bln. cubic meter of gas from "Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli" and 200,3 bln. cubic meter of gas from Shah Deniz was produced.

"In this period, about 141,5 bln. cubic meters of the gas produced from the Shah Deniz field was transported for export", the statement said.

Note that according to operational data for January-August 2023, 32,2 bln. cubic meters of natural gas was produced in Azerbaijan within 8 months. 8,6 billion cubic meters of the gas was from ACG, 17,6 bln. cubic meters from "Shah Deniz", 0,2 bcm from Absheron, and 5,8 bcm were produced by SOCAR.

Compared to the corresponding period of last year, gas was produced with an increase of 5 percent, i.e., 1.5 billion cubic meters.

"During the reporting period, gas sales abroad amounted to approximately 15,8 bln. cubic meters, which is approximately 9% more than the corresponding period of last year. In January-August of the current year, approximately 6,7 bln. cubic meters to Türkiye, approximately 7,6 bln. cubic meters to Europe and 1,5 billion of gas was sold to Georgia. It should be noted that 3,8 bln. cubic meters of gas were transported to Türkiye with TANAP during this period," the information states.
