FIFA not interested in expelling Russia from the organization

FIFA is currently not interested in expelling the RFU from the organization, about this “Championship” said a source familiar with the situation,APA reports.

According to the interlocutor of the “Championship”, such a development of events is the least likely.

“The position of FIFA and UEFA now sounds something like this: “After the normalization of the situation, let’s sit down and talk about the return of Russia,” added the interlocutor of the “Championship”.

The source also said that if the Russian organization remains a member of FIFA, the Congress of the International Football Federation will most likely either uphold the current sanctions against the RFU or suspend the activities of the RFU in the organization.
