Winners of two more weight classes  determined at the World Taekwondo Championship-PHOTO

The sixth day of the World Taekwondo Championship held in Baku has been concluded, Apasport.az reports.

The prize-winners in the 62 kg for women and 74 kg for men categories were determined based on the results of the fights.

International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach, World Taekwondo (WT) President Chungwon Chu, Azerbaijan Youth and Sports Minister Farid Gayibov, Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation President Kamaladdin Heydarov also watched the semi-final and final fights in both weight classes. After the fights, they attended the awards ceremony of the athletes.

The IOC president also met with the refugee team participating in the world championship before the semi-finals. The guests also got acquainted with the stand of World Taekwondo in the Baku Crystal Hall and reviewed other stands. They also watched the show of "Demo Team".

Liliya Kuzina (World Taekwondo) won the fight of female taekwondo fighters. She defeated the Brazilian Carolina Santos in the final. Feruza Sadykova (Uzbekistan) and Aaliya Powell (United Kingdom) won bronze medals.

Marko Golubić (Croatia) won the title of world champion among male taekwondo fighters. Stefan Takov (Serbia) won the silver medal, Leon Seyranovic (Australia) and Kadirbek Daurov (World Taekwondo) won the bronze medals.

Eltaj Gafarov of Azerbaijan and Fatima Majidova of Azerbaijan lost in the 1/4 final and 1/16 final, respectively.

Notably, the world championship will end after the 2 weight classes to be held on the 4th of June.
