EU agrees on a program with the Azerbaijani government directed to eliminate negative effects of pandemic

The Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Azerbaijan is implementing 8 projects in connection with the developments of regions and rural areas, said the head of the EU delegation to Azerbaijan, Kestutis Jankauskas in an online briefing, APA reports.
According to him, these projects aimed at the development of regions, at the same supporting agriculture: “We believe that it is possible to achieve real development with the development of civil society. The purpose of our projects is to support the development of the regions, to create conditions for the education of the young generation.”
The head of the delegation of the EU to Azerbaijan noted that the current two-year program has been agreed with Azerbaijani Government and the main attention in this program aimed at eliminating the negative effects of the pandemic on the socio-economic sphere: “Taking into consideration of the existence of EU financial instruments regarding Azerbaijan, the financial priorities will be determined for the next 5-7 years. The sphere of conducted work is wide. We will work on the civil society project, continue our work on regional development, and will succeed”.
