GUAM PA Chairmanship transferred to Georgia

15th Bureau meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the GUAM has been held on February 10 via video-conferencing, Press and Public Relations Department of Azerbaijani Parliament told APA.

GUAM PA Chairman, head of Azerbaijani Delegation in the Organization Elnur Allahverdiyev, and member of the Delegation Nasib Mahamaliyev attended the meeting.

Confirmation of composition of national delegations in Committees of the Parliamentary Assembly of the GUAM for 2021, results of the extraordinary meeting of the Bureau, work of Observation Mission of the Organization in Parliamentary elections of Georgia, Declaration draft of the 13th meeting of the GUAM PA, and other issues have been reviewed at the event.

During discussions, the head of the Georgian delegation to the GUAM PA, Georgi Khelashvili, head of the Ukrainian delegation Svyatoslav Yurash, head of the Moldovan delegation Alexandru Jizdan have explained their thoughts regarding the issues on the agenda.

GUAM Secretary General Altay Efendiyev has expressed his views and suggestions regarding expanding cooperation relations. The chairmanship of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly has been handed over to Georgia at the event.
