Azerbaijani FM: Armenia does not fulfill its commitments taken at the level of leaders

On September 29, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a meeting with Isabelle Dumont, Advisor to the French President's Cabinet for Continental Europe and Turkey, Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry told APA.

During the meeting, issues of bilateral political and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and France, tensions between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the region, and necessary steps towards the normalization process were discussed.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed her in detail about the provocations in the border regions by Armenia.

The minister said that Armenia does not fulfill its commitments within the framework of the agreements reached at the level of leaders, and hinders international efforts in the normalization process. Jeyhun Bayramov brought the position of our country to the attention of the other side on ensuring stability in the region, opening communications with Armenia, delimitation process, and signing the peace agreement.

The French side mentioned the importance of stabilization of the situation in the region, restoration of the normalization process, and negotiations by following the ceasefire. She noted that the French side is ready to support the mentioned process.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on the other regional issues.
