"The recent border incident between Azerbaijan and Armenia has nothing to do with Karabakh. This happened in a completely different region, on the Azerbaijan-Armenia border," Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a press conference on the results of his visit to Uzbekistan, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

"We are truly sorry for what happened and the losses. First of all, due to the influence of Russia, it was possible to localize the conflict. I hope it will continue to be so. And this shows you Russia's resources to stop the conflict...", said Putin while answering the question of a journalist about "Do you think that some forces using Russia's involvement in Ukraine are trying to escalate the situation in Karabakh, and does Russia have enough resources to settle this conflict?"
