"Azerbaijan is a reliable energy partner of Italy," said Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio at the conference "Azerbaijan-Italy: The Road to Multilateral Strategic Partnership" held at ADA University, APA reports.
The Minister said that Azerbaijan has been a reliable oil supplier during past years. According to Luigi Di Maio, Azerbaijan's role regarding the gas supply has further increased.
"The main priority for us is to increase the volume of Azerbaijani gas transported to Italy," the FM said.
Luigi Di Maio noted that Italian companies are interested in operating in Azerbaijan.
The Minister added that Italian-Azerbaijani relations have developed significantly over the past 30 years.
